I used to be a terrible pet owner. I have been mother to Jasmine, Jessica and Rascal. Sadly, I was too young to know that I was doing pet parenting all wrong! Only too late did I realize the mistakes I’d made, but I’m making it right with my two beautiful cats Tippy and Misha.
I can never undo the mistakes of my past, but I want to make a better future for all cats and pet parents through The Meow Place. After all, I may have done everything wrong with my first three cats, but that’s what makes me an expert when it comes to proper pet care. I know from first-hand experience what to do and what not to do.
My name is Amber, by the way. I’m a 34-year-old cat lady who lives in the snowy state of Minnesota where I’ve made myself a career in freelance writing. When I’m not doing that, I’m caring for my two precious fur babies and generally spoiling them rotten. I’m not kidding when I say that they eat better than I do.
My mission is to help cat owners through the tough questions that come with being a pet parent. I also aim to give my readers up-to-date information on the best pet products, including food, toys and other supplies (litter, for example!).
