Our 2022 Christmas gift guide is here! Snag one of these cat-tastic gifts for your kitty or your cat-loving friend/family member.
It’s been a few years since we’ve done a Christmas gift guide, but we had to weigh in for 2022. We’ve organized our selected Christmas gifts into six categories: Toys & Enrichment, Food Items & Treats, Beds & Comfort Items, Cat-Themed Products, and Charitable Causes.

Toys & Enrichment
Stimulating your cat’s mind and giving them toys and puzzles to play with helps keep your cat happy and healthy. Our Christmas gift guide starts out with four items every cat owner should have in their home that are essential for your cat’s enrichment. For more ideas on how to catify your space, check out our (and other’s) tips in this article from Redfin.
CatAmazing Puzzle Toys
Even cats need mental stimulation. When I look at Tippy, I sometimes think there’s nothing going on in there, but we were able to try out CatAmazing’s classic puzzle toy. All four cats are in love with this toy! It has kept them occupied and out of trouble, making it my new favorite cat toy.
Frisco Sisal Cat Scratching Post
This scratching post is insanely durable. We’ve had this product for over two years, and it’s only now starting to show signs of wear and tear. Frisco, a brand which is exclusive to Chewy, is known for having affordable products. This scratching post can be purchased from Chewy for only $42.49 at the time of this blog post.
Catit Treat Ball
Another amazing puzzle toy is the Catit treat ball. Simply place treats inside, give it a shake, and place it on the floor for your kitty to roll around. It’s a much more engaging way to offer your cat treats, and it also makes sure they eat them more slowly for easier digestion.
Catit Stacking Towers
This cat tower is certified fresh and brand new from Catit. It was exhibited at the 2022 Global Pet Expo, and since it’s so new, it’s still only available from Catit’s website. Just a note — this set of modern stacking towers is specifically for kittens. If you’re looking for a cat tower for adult cats, you can’t go wrong with Happystack’s 3-story cat tower (sold on Hauspanther).
Food Items & Treats
Tasty, chewy treats. The perfect food bowl. Take a peek at these and a few other items that we’ve gathered for our Christmas gift guide.
Happy + Polly Mushroom Fountain
This cat water fountain is too cute to not include on our 2022 Christmas gift guide. It comes in a few different variations, each cuter than the next, as well as different color schemes. Rather than using plastic, Happy & Polly made their fountain from durable ceramic materials for a long life.
Dr. Catsby Whisker Relief Food Bowl
We’ve been using Dr. Catsby’s food bowl for many years, and they’ve stood up to the test of time. Not only are they made from strong and durable stainless steel, they’re also designed to alleviate whisker fatigue.
Primal Freeze-Dried Cat Treats
We love Primal pet food! Primal has come out with three delectable new treat options; our personal favorite is the The G.O.A.T. cat treats. Goat milk does wonders for a cat’s digestion, and — unlike dairy milk — it doesn’t affect lactose intolerant kitties.
HolistaPet CBD Oil For Cats
CBD oil can help with a variety of problems from inflammation to anxiety. We used this product for our cat Misha to help with her IBD after she was hospitalized. You can also buy calming chews if your kitty isn’t fond of the liquid version.
Beds & Comfort Items
Don’t you wish you were a cat… curled up in a soft, warm bed… wrapped in a fuzzy blanket… living the dream? Well, at least your cat can be. Spoil your precious feline with these Christmas gifts they’ll use year-round. You can also check out our blog post on how to keep your cat warm during the winter for more comfort items.
Anti-Anxiety Calming Cat Bed
We’ve tried this bed out on our senior kitty, Moses, and he is in LOVE. Never has there been a cozier cat bed. As soon as your cat gets into the bed, there’s going to be a whole lot of biscuit making and contented purrs.
Frisco Modern Elevated Cat Bed
Chewy and their in-house brand Frisco have really been on a roll lately. This modern cat bed stands on elevated wooden legs for a sophisticated look that’s just as charming as bigger name brands. The inside of the bed is lined with soft faux fur for extra comfort.
SmartyKat Crinkle Mat/Bed
If your kitty loves crinkly sounds, they’ll adore this cat mat. It’s the perfect spot to play and then have a nice nap. As a bonus, the mat also catches loose fur to slow the spread of cat hairs around your house.
Great Bay Plush Fleece Throw
Target is never short on comfortable and cozy throw blankets, but this one has to be one of our favorites. Great Bay’s plush fleece throw is under $15 and measures 70″x50″. That’s room for, like, a lot of cats.
Cat-Themed Products For Cat Lovers
Your friend or family member is a cat-aholic just like you. Get them a gift from our Christmas gift guide that they’ll be simply purring over.
Pet House Night Light w/Bluetooth
Tucked away in a cozy miniature pet house, this adorable kitty is the world’s cutest night light. Any cat lover would appreciate having this cutie ext to their bedside. The light also has Bluetooth capabilities so you can play music from it to lull yourself to sleep.
Giant Cat Plush Body Pillow
If you’ve ever dreamed about cuddling a giant cat, now is your chance. This giant cat body pillow won’t squirm or fuss when you squish it tight against you or try to claw its way out of your affections. It also comes in varying sizes and colors.
Holidays Fur All Soy Candle
You can’t go wrong with a scented candle, right? Pet House’s non-toxic, eco-friendly candles are safe to use around pets and smell AMAZING. There are dozens of scents available on Amazon, including this one named “Holidays Fur All.”
Cat Art By Danial Ryan
I want to fill my home entirely with this artist’s paintings. Instead of bougie abstract art with random splashes of paint and geometric shapes, why not go with an abstract cat crying on top of a Taco Bell sign? I mean… why not?
You can also check out our post on Diana Hartman’s pet portraits for a more realistic cat art style.
Charitable Causes
Maybe you want to give a gift this Christmas that truly matters. You want to make a difference in the world! Consider giving to these charitable causes and spread the true joy of the Christmas season.
Donate To Your Local Shelter
Animal shelters are constantly in need of funds. While giving to the ASPCA may seem like a great idea, you can make a more considerable difference by giving directly to your local animal shelter. Consider donating money, food, toys, bedding, or other necessities.
A Gift Card To A Cat Cafe
A portion of sales at cat cafes goes to helping the cats in need who live there. Buy a special someone a gift card for a visit there and help support the kitties who grace the cafe’s cat room. Want to know more about cat cafes? Check out our blog post How Cat Cafes Are Promoting Adoption & Helping End Cat Homelessness.
Foster Programs
Many fellow cat lovers help foster kittens, and some even have their own full-blown organizations for doing so. Take Kitten Lady for example! We follow several wonderful foster programs on our Instagram page. Check them out — consider donating to one of them to help kittens and cats in need this Christmas.
